Dear Resident,

 

Please be advised starting July 23, 2008 the U.S. Forest Service will begin a tree thinning project to the West of Pine Mountain Club. 

 

You will no doubt hear the operation of heavy machinery (a masticator).  This machine chops or flails woody vegetation, turning it to mulch; one way to reduce fire hazard and at the same time enhance the soil.

 

For safety reasons, Forest Service personnel ask that no one come within 500 feet of this machine when it is in operation.
